Our studio is well-equipped and well-lighted. We have ten electric potter's wheels, a clay slab-roller, a column-mounted clay extruder and two kilns. We are using a mid-range stoneware clay that can be fired in oxidation or reduction to cone six. There is a small studio reference library available to students and staff.

REDUCTION FIRING. Over the summer of 2010, we will begin testing glazes and firing procedures in our new gas kiln. Since opening, vent and alarm issues have interrupted firing trials. We believe these problems have been remedied.
